Please reach out to us if you cannot find an answer to your question.
We use a mix of invitation (materials available for children to experiment with) and provocation (materials with prompts that guide children) to support your child to learn through positive experiences that engage the heart, mind and body. We use a range of teaching techniques suited to early learners and our workshops use of mix of activity types, e.g. sensory and messy play, music and movement, art and craft, puzzles etc.
Our workshops are drop n’ go, however, we appreciate that leaving your little one can be stressful, so we are happy for you to stay for the first workshop. Please also feel free to remain in the area and observe your child from one of the many large windows that provide full vision into the learning space!
Limiting the number of children in each workshop means that our teachers can skilfully balance observing, prompting, directing and getting out of the way of your child's learning. This ensures your child can receive the best quality learning possible during their time with us each week. It does sadly mean that we sometimes don't have enough spaces for every child.
Summersland Launchpad is an ideal option in the year before your child begins Prep. This is because our workshops build foundational literacy, numeracy and socialisation skills which will support your child when they transition to Prep. Each term at Summersland Launchpad increases in complexity, so if your child does all 4 terms in the year before Prep they should be well prepared for school!
Absolutely! Jump over to our booking page and find the option that suits you!
Yes! We offer a Flexi booking option. Visit our 'Book now' page and choose a Flexi option that works for you. Basically, it works like an 8-hr or 4-hr pass that you can use during the term it is purchased.
We accept last-minute bookings because we know life gets in the way! The booking page closes when a workshop is full. If there are spaces available, the booking page remains open until 2 hours before the workshop start time.
Instead of a once-off free trial, we offer a paid Flexi 4 option. This provides you with 4-hrs of time during the term to test things out. If you would like to switch to a termly booking after the flexi option expires, we will reduce the fee accordingly. Please visit our 'Book now' page to find an option that works for you.
Not at all! We take bookings all year round. Each term has different topics, activities and resources, so we know your little one will love coming for the whole year! Each term increases in complexity to support your child's growth over the year.
Each term has 2 topics that run for either 4 or 5 workshops in a row, e.g. Term 1 topics are: Look up! and You, me and the Sea. Each workshop in the term engages children with a range of learning experiences that gradually deepen their knowledge and skills. Experiences include reading, drawing, writing, art, craft, sensory exploration, dance, movement, music, fine and gross motor activities, science and more!
Yes. To ensure a smooth and uninterrupted learning experience for all participants, we kindly ask that children attending our workshops be toilet trained. To assist with this, we provide access to toilets where parents/carers can take their children to the toilet before the workshop begins. This helps minimise disruptions during the session, allowing everyone to fully immerse themselves in the learning experience.
Boost is only offered during the summer holidays, as it is designed to support children to experience a smooth transition into Prep, Year 1 or a homeschooling routine. Children attend for 1.5hrs each day of the week (M-F) and engage in early learning workshops designed to spark joy, passion & curiosity while developing foundational literacy, numeracy and socialisation skills.
